Vincit uses Viio to achieve SaaS visibility, access and control
Once again, we would like to share a story about one of the many IT professionals who each day use and manage a variety of SaaS tools 💻
This is Jonne Heiskanen. He is the Head of IT at the Finnish IT consultancy company Vincit. He’s been in the field of IT for more than 10 years, while the role as Head of IT is quite new:
“I’ve been in charge of our IT department since the beginning of this year. But it’s not a typical manager position - I’d like to think I’m just like another player on the field. At our company, we are very self-guided, which means that people always have the freedom to choose how they work best. That goes for the use of SaaS tools, too. I trust that they know which tools are the best for them and then I might help guide them in the right direction. I don’t want to restrict people doing things their way for the sake of it. There has to be a discussion, a reasonable reason and an explanation if we must go that way. I'd rather see us as enablers. We just have to have visibility, access and control for most things. I think this way of managing is typical for IT companies in the Nordics, as I know many IT departments in the US that are way more strict. However, right now we are growing so rapidly it gets harder to track everyone's work and what SaaS tools they’ll be using.
Therefore, we chose to use Viio. I see it as an advantage that they are pretty new in the field of SaaS management so we'll get a chance to grow together. So far it’s been really good. We have biweekly meetings where we talk about our requirements and what they’ve done so far. I’m excited to see how they can help us keep track of our SaaS usage and spend, because we have so many costs regarding SaaS!”
We are very grateful to have Vincit onboard - both as a customer and a collaborating partner. They give us a unique perspective into how we can build better solutions for everyone who wants a greater overview of their SaaS usage and spent 💡
